Growing up just outside Toronto, Canada, Sebastian's funky house sound is the result of an extensive dj career that has sampled many musical genres. At the age of 14 he picked up his first set of decks. Over the next few years his style would evolve from playing Hip Hop, to mixing funky breaks, to juggling and scratching and experimenting with virtually every facet of this art form.

At the age of 19, Sebastian decided to spread his wings and leave his home in Canada to attend college in Washington D.C. It was during these years, that Sebastian would come to embrace his current funky house sound. Mixing uplifting funky beats and on point scratching, a unique skill more typical of hip-hop djs, Sebastian crafted his own refreshing trademark comprised of underground house but borrowing elements from his earlier years on the 1200s. "I think scratching adds a nice element to house music. There’s nothing like dropping a smooth cut on a breakdown or scratching to a funky beat; it keeps things interesting. Some people say it shouldn't be done, yet I beg to differ". It was that sound that landed him a top eight showing at the Global Beats spinoff in 2000 in New York. Then, in 2003, Sebastian impressed audiences again when he traveled to Miami Beach and placed in the top 10 at the Winter Music Conference competition. His experiences in Miami had made such an impression that he decided to make this city his new home.

Since arriving in South Beach, Sebastian has been tearing up dance floors with his infectious grooves, playing alongside world renowned DJs and producers along the likes of Taylor, Deepsky and John Creamer. Sebastian’s rise up the ranks is already evident in 2005. He has made appearances at such Miami hotspots as Amika, Blue, House, The District, and Cafeteria as well as doing several guest spots during this year’s WMC. Sebastian's focus is now centered on making his own music while experimenting with his production skills. Keep an eye out for this DJ as he makes his way through Miami and abroad.
